Our history
OUR ORIGINS
Our story begins with grandfather Arduino and grandmother Zina. After many years of working in the countryside of lower Modena, with their life savings they managed to buy an old farmhouse surrounded by vineyards. His son Felice (my father), with his wife Iride (my mother), began the progressive conversion of the vineyards towards an organic and biodynamic farming method. The profound respect for nature and love for work allowed us to overcome all difficulties. In the early 1980s, our farm, when organic certification did not yet exist in Italy, complied with the specifications of a German control body (Demeter) now widespread throughout the world. In the same years, the production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena began.
Even today, our vinegar factory is the only one in the world to be certified organic and biodynamic. And we are proud of this.
OUR FAMILY
The Guerzoni agricultural company is linked to the history of the Guerzoni family, who have always cultivated the land. Today Lorenzo is continuing the family tradition: from his mother Iride he learned to go among people to tell such a unique story; from Happy father the love for the land and the joy of seeing the bunches of grapes grow and ripen. The world has changed with impressive speed in recent years. Acetaia Guerzoni wanted to accept the challenge of the times by expanding its commercial contacts to over 40 countries and equipping itself with a modern and efficient production structure. But innovating does not mean distorting its nature and only those who have a clear understanding of the values that support it can have strong roots and a clear vision for the future.

Our mission is to produce products faithful to tradition with the aim of transmitting to everyone the taste of the past and the spirit of our grandparents, who did not bend nature to their will with chemical products or invasive techniques, but listened to it and they let themselves be guided by it.
